The big advantages of a small pool to minimize costs, save water and energy and withstand the extreme summer heat of 2024.
Small pools are trendy. There are a few very convincing arguments for this.
Small pool
A small pool is usually defined as a pool size of a maximum of 5 or 6 meters long and 3 to 4 meters wide.
We offer various models in this size: Unique 4, Smart Lane, the complete Clever series and Tweet.
Summer after summer, we want nothing more than to escape the high temperatures of recent years and cool off alone or with company.
But a small pool offers much more than just refreshment.
Compared to a standard 8 x 4.5 m pool, a small pool like our Clever or Smart Lane with a capacity of less than 10 m³ can save over 12,900 liters of water.
Also water treatment
Water treatment is also crucial. Water consumption must not only be taken into account when filling the pool at the time of purchase. With regular and careful maintenance of a monoblock polyester pool, the water can be used for up to 6 years.
When it is very hot in summer, you have to remember that some of the water evaporates due to the sun's rays.
With a small pool, the area exposed to the sun is smaller than with a standard pool or a large pool. Therefore, evaporation can be 1 m³ per month for a small pool and up to 4-5 m³ per month for a standard pool.
If you consider the cost of pool lighting (because it is a real luxury to be able to swim at night and have a well-lit garden in summer), a small swimming pool only needs one spotlight, while a standard pool or a large swimming pool requires at least 2-3 spotlights.
Would you like to extend your bathing season?
Would you like to extend your bathing season? If you choose a small pool, the amount of water that needs to be heated and air conditioned will be less. This means a significant electricity saving compared to a standard pool or a large pool.
Both in summer and when heating the pool, covering the pool can help reduce water evaporation.
As you can see, there are many reasons for a small pool. For a refreshing bath, 10 m³ of water is sufficient.
