The great advantages of choosing a small pool to minimize costs, save water, energy and survive the extreme heat of summer in 2024.
Small pools are becoming more and more popular. But behind this trend there are very convincing arguments.
What do we consider a small pool?
A small pool can be considered to have a maximum length of 5 or 6 meters and 3 or 4 meters wide, at most.
In our range of models we have several options for small pools such as: Unique 4, Smart Lane, the Clever range and Tweet.
Our main objective summer after summer is to be able to cool off alone or in company, in these high temperatures like the ones we have been experiencing in recent years.
In a small model you can do much more than cool off.
In a small pool like our Clever or Smart Lane, which has less than 10m3 of water, you can save more than 12,900 liters of water when compared to a standard 8 x 4.5 meter pool.
Pool water maintenance is crucial
Water consumption should not only be counted when filling the pool when we buy it. The maintenance of the polyester monobloc pool, if done constantly and consciously, the pool water can last up to 6 years.
When high temperatures arrive in summer, we must take into account that there is evaporation of water from the pools due to the Sun.
But, if the pool is small, the surface that the Sun touches in it is less than the surface that it would touch if it were a standard or large pool. Thus, the evaporation of a small pool can reach 1m3 per month while in a standard pool it can reach 4-5 m3 per month.
If we analyze the light consumption of the pool, because it is truly a luxury to be able to bathe at night and have a garden in summer that has good lighting, in a small pool you only need one light, whereas in a standard or large pool a minimum of 2 – 3 lights are necessary.
What if you want to extend the swimming season?
If you choose to have a small pool, there are fewer liters of water to heat and condition it, which implies that there is considerable energy savings if we compare it to a standard or large pool.
Both in summer and to heat the pool, one of the solutions to prevent less water evaporation is to cover the pool with a cover.
As we have mentioned, there are many advantages of having a small pool at home. We can enjoy our refreshing baths with only 10m3 of water.
